Hospice Physician

Hospice doctors have special training and expertise in pain management and symptom control, and specialize in helping patients and their families cope with the many burdens of a serious illness, from the side effects of a medical treatment to caregiver stress to fears about the future. Hospice doctors can assist you with difficult medical decisions, helping you weigh the pros and cons of various treatments.

Spiritual care counselors support patients and families while identifying pre- and post-grief needs.  Hospice spiritual counselors are responsible for providing caring, non-denominational spiritual assistance to patients and their families.  This can be done either directly or in coordination with other spiritual advisors in the community, including patients’ clergy.

Hospice Valley is licensed by the California Department of Health, certified by Medicare and Medi-Cal, as well as, being fully accredited by the Joint Commission. Hospice Valley is contracted with numerous local and national insurance providers, including bot not limited to, LA Care, UnitedHealthCare, Health Net, Blue Shield of California and Cigna.
We offer the same type of care that a hospital offers, but at home. Common reasons to be in end of life care hospice can be Cancer, Heart Failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Dementia or Alzheimer's, Stroke/CVA, Renal Failure, human immunodeficiency virus HIV/AIDS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Stroke, Coma, advanced neurologic diseases (Parkinson's disease, ALS), terminally ill & old age/seniors.
Services will be rendered without regard to sex: Male or Female, without regard to race: White / Caucasian, Black / African american, Asian, Latino/Hispanic, Filipino, Middle eastern, Native american, and without regard to religion: Christian, Catholic, Jewish, Islam / Muslim, Buddhism, Hinduism. We are able to provide hospice care services for patients who speak English, Spanish, Armenian, Persian (Farsi), Tagalog, Russian, Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), Korean, Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese.
