We do this by offering programs and services tailored to the needs of our patients: Allowing them to spend time with loved ones; Offering respite for caregivers; Providing pain management; And providing physical therapy for those who might need it. We strive to help all people at the end of their lives understand God’s love, and live with a deep knowing that they are loved, appreciated and valued.

Our catholic hospice strives to provide pastoral care for all of our patients, through ongoing spiritual care and spiritual direction. We provide nourishment groups to help our patients meet with one another in a friendly and supportive environment. Our patients are encouraged to seek out activities that bring them together as a community of support. Through our pastoral programs, we engage the families of Catholic Hospice Patients in caring for their patient’s spiritual needs during the hospice process, with the goal of optimizing quality of life at the end of each patient’s life. We recognize that our patients’ families provide their patients with love, understanding and care.

Our staff is committed to providing quality end of life care in a manner which respects each patient’s unique Catholic faith. Our catholic hospice services is a faith community which maintains the highest standards of quality and compassion, seeking to serve all people. We do this with the highest level of palliative care, compassion, respect and dignity for all people.

Catholic Hospice provides counselling and support groups for families whose loved one is receiving hospice services. We provide respite care to help caregivers who are providing services during their loved one’s hospice care. We provide in-home nursing care and support to provide Physical and Spiritual care. We also assist patients with meeting their spiritual needs through our Pastoral Care Program.

Hospice Valleys catholic hospice provides a wide range of services at our hospice locations, both in the home, or the skilled nursing facilities we are contracted with. The Philosophy behind all of our services is simple: To focus on supporting the dying process and their families as they move towards a time of peace and joy.

What Hospice Services Do We Provide

• Respite Care – A monthly service that provides families with a break from the caregiving demands. Respite care is provided for a period of 48 hours at the hospice family house
• Spiritual Direction – A Catholic Hospice Chaplain visits each patient on a weekly basis to provide for their spiritual needs and to provide support by listening, praying, and providing comfort and encouragement.
• Pastoral Care – A team of pastoral care specialists are available to answer questions and provide support to patients, families and staff through at-home visitation.
• Supportive Programming – Nourishment groups, bereavement groups and spiritual enrichment programs are offered to patients, families and staff. These programs are designed to meet the needs of our patients and their families.
• Physical Therapy – Physical therapists are available to provide physical therapy services based on patient need.
• Social Work Services – Social services staff is available to answer questions, explore resources, and provide support to patients, families and staff through at-home visitation.
• Clinical Services – Our Clinical Services Department oversees all medical care provided by our highly skilled team of nurses who work directly with your family physician(s).
• Complementary Therapies – Specialized services from massage therapists and music therapists are available at our hospice locations.
• Home Health Aides – HHA services can be provided for the duration of a patient’s stay with us or for an hour a day for respite care. At your request, we can help you with meal preparation, housekeeping/laundry, transportation and other in home supportive services.
